1. Introduction

Welcome to Temso AI ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website and use our services.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide directly to us, including:

  • Account Information: Name, email address, and password when you create an account.
  • Profile Information: Company name, job title, and other details you choose to provide.
  • Payment Information: Billing address and payment method details (processed securely by our payment providers).
  • Communications: Information you provide when contacting our support team.

We also collect or receive:

  • Usage and Device Information: IP address, browser and device type, pages you view, and actions you take on our website and in the app, collected through cookies and similar technologies (see our Cookie Policy).
  • Information from Sign-In Providers: Your name and email address when you sign in with Google or Microsoft.
  • Information from Connected Integrations: When you connect Google Search Console or Bing Webmaster Tools, search performance data for your website, such as search queries, pages, clicks, impressions, and positions.
  • Website and AI Crawler Data: The content of the public website pages we audit for you and, if you install our traffic integration, request logs of AI crawlers and other bots that visit your website (such as the requested URL, user agent, IP address, status code, and time).
  • Shared Report Views: When someone opens a report you share, the time, referrer, user agent, approximate location (country and city), a hashed IP address, and, for restricted links, the viewer's verified email address.
  • AI Assistant Conversations: The messages you send to the Temso AI assistant in the app and its responses.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve our services
  • Process transactions and send related information
  • Send you technical notices, updates, and support messages
  • Respond to your comments and questions
  • Analyze usage patterns to improve user experience
  • Measure how AI assistants and search engines describe and recommend your brand, and produce the analytics, audits, and recommendations in the Temso app
  • Detect, prevent, and respond to security incidents, fraud, and abuse
  • Comply with our legal obligations

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

  • Service Providers: Companies that process data on our behalf under contracts that limit how they can use it. These include providers of cloud hosting and databases, payment processing, product analytics and error monitoring, email delivery and customer support, and web data (website crawling, search, and backlink data).
  • AI Model Providers: To measure how AI assistants answer, we submit the prompts you track to AI assistants and search engines, directly or through data providers. Messages you send to the Temso AI assistant are processed by AI model providers (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google) to generate responses.
  • People You Share Reports With: Anyone with a report link you share, or the verified recipients of a restricted link, can view that report.
  • AI Assistant Platforms: If you connect Temso to a third-party AI assistant, we transmit the data you request to that provider (for example, Anthropic or OpenAI) to fulfill your request
  • Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights
  • Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets

5. AI Assistant Connectors and API Access

Temso offers an API and connectors that let you link your Temso account to third-party AI assistants and tools, including Anthropic's Claude, OpenAI's ChatGPT, Cursor, and other clients that support the Model Context Protocol (MCP). This section explains how your information is handled when you use them.

Connecting. When an administrator of your organization connects Temso to an AI assistant, you authorize the connection through a sign-in and consent screen. Temso then issues a scoped access credential (an API key) bound to that connection. Access is limited to the projects your account can reach and to the specific read or write permissions granted at connection time. We store these credentials in hashed form and never display them again after creation.

What is accessed and shared. Once connected, the AI assistant can, at your direction, call Temso tools to retrieve your organization's data (for example, brand-visibility analytics, share of voice, sentiment, cited sources, and configuration) and, if write access was granted, to modify your project configuration. When you ask the assistant a question that calls a Temso tool, the tool's results are transmitted to the third-party AI platform you connected (such as Anthropic or OpenAI) so it can respond to you. That platform processes the data under its own privacy policy and terms; we encourage you to review them. Temso does not control, and is not responsible for, how connected third-party platforms use data once it is sent to them at your direction.

Your control. Connecting is optional and initiated by your organization. You can review and revoke any connection at any time in Organization Settings → API Keys in the Temso app. Revoking a connection immediately invalidates its credential, and no further data can be retrieved through it. You can also create and revoke API keys directly there for your own integrations.

Retention. Access credentials remain valid until you revoke them or they expire. Revoked and expired credentials are retained only as needed for security and audit purposes. Data returned to a connected AI platform is retained by that platform according to its own policies, not Temso's.

6. Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When your account is closed or your agreement with us ends, we delete your data within 30 days, unless the law requires us to keep it longer. Before deletion, you can export your data, and on written request we confirm the deletion.

7. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

8. Your Choices and Rights

You can control your information in these ways:

  • Update your account and profile details in the app settings.
  • Disconnect Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, and other integrations at any time on the Integrations page in the app. We then stop receiving new data from them.
  • Revoke AI assistant connections and API keys as described in Section 5.
  • Manage cookies as described in our Cookie Policy.
  • Unsubscribe from marketing emails with the link in each email.

Depending on your location, you may also have rights to:

  • Access your personal information
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to processing of your data
  • Data portability
